The Workforce Connections Community of Practice held an “Advancing the Field” event on September 11th and 12th, 2014 at FHI 360’s conference center. The event highlighted the tracks; Social Safety Nets, Value Chains, Financial Services and Vocational Skills Training.

- What’s Beyond Vocational?: The Need to Think Systems and the Need to Collaborate
- Work Readiness: Highlighting Core Competencies and Building Job Search Skills
- Digital Literacy: The New Language of Employment
- From Value Chains to Market Systems
- Big Data for Development
There was also a focus on systems thinking, with speaker Peter Senge: System Archetypes and Emergent Futures: Reflections on Facilitating System Change.
